Hey everyone! I was hoping to talk to some individuals that use reefbreeder photons. I currently have a 24" model ~10" from the surface of my water on a 40b. My question is, what schedule do you use to get the best and brightest color from your coral? I'm mainly trying to color up zoas and LPS. Currently my photo period is 12pm-12am, starting at 0 on both channels and maxing out at 38 on blues and 30 on whites.

What have you had the most success with? (oh and yes I know that reefbreeders has a scaling chart on their website, I just wanted to know more about real life experiences)

Pictures or tips would be wonderful! Thanks!!!

p.s. my major concern is frying coral, I unwittingly fried a montipora because I didn't realize how powerful the settings were capable of going. Since then I have dialed back to where I am now and everything seems happy, just maybe not the brightest possible colors. I keep up with consistent water changes every 10 days 25% using reef crystals to make sure levels are appropriate.

I had the 48" on my old 75G. Maxed it out at 65% Blues, 50% whites after acclimating the corals 5-10% per week.

I started and still run at 80% blue and 45% white for 6 hours, 3 hours ramp up and 3 hours down. No bleaching issues on any sps, lps, zoos except for one lobo. Growth has been great

I ran mine on 100 blues and 80 whites. Never had any bleaching. I don't think they are extremely bright. Whenever I switched to Radions I started out at 40 percent and noticed bleaching.

Had a radion over my cube and just couldn't justify putting well over $2000 in lighting over my big tank. They make quality products but are waaay overpriced. Getting the same growth with my reefbreeder and like the controller better.
