I have mine blazing right now. I have no corals though. I'm at 80 blues violet 5red and 35 whites in peak it's blasting my tank with light.

Does all the red cause a large algea growth? That's why i have red down. I will be playing with settings as I plan to add corals.

Now I do like the white look of 12k I just changed a channel to see it. But added algea would be a pain

Algae is ALWAYS a pain!

Plus in Dana's review of the photon the whites are alot of reds also. So I think you cut that red number in 12k down it might help with algea. All I know is I love this light.

For what its worth. I ditched my radions for Photons years ago and never looked back!

This was all i needed. Just picked up one from BRS to start my frag tank. Hanging high and ramping up lights slow.
