Reef Factory bankruptcy

Does anybody know If there’s some news? It’s been a while from the date they filed bankruptcy. The servers for the app are still working but it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find out spare parts (ie. reagents for the Smart Tester). Is someone stepping in and buying the company?

I haven't seen anything recently. I only had a doser. It still works, but we had to change our wifi, and I can't get the app to login. I've changed brands.

Just saw BRS has all Reef Factory products discounted 40%. With no news of a buyer, makes me wonder if it’s a good buy or not (I think maybe not).

I was looking at these on brs and wondering why they were so cheap but looked nice. It's a shame they went bankrupt, I liked how the product's aesthetic.

I bought a roller mat from Reef Factory about a year ago, and had some minor aesthetic issues and their customer service was really nice. It works, and it’s not dependent on a server, so that makes me happy for future use. But agreed, kinda sad about it. Hopefully someone else takes over.

Any chance you’ve had issues with the motor on your roller mat randomly getting “blocked” when there’s nothing physically obstructing it?

It’s been a frustrating issue for me and Reef Factory’s support has been unreachable.

No, mine has been pretty smooth. How is yours getting blocked?

Not sure really. Reef Factory support eventually did get back to me so at least they still have somewhat functioning support.

They seem to think it’s an issue with the motor shaft.

I had a similar problem, but it was not the motor nor the shaft that caused the problem. It was the plastic hole where you put the motor shaft in that was worn out.

I removed it, 3D printed a new one. And it works again perfectly.

I cannot answer that unfortunately. You know the state of the company, you have to make a decision if it's worth dealing with it.

I just checked my KH and it was below 5! Then I noticed that the app says no ml’s dosed today. So it seems to be down..
Still able to dose manually through the app, but without the schedule it is hopeless…
