Hi, I am smack dab in the process of installing baffles into my sump for my new 180g tank build. I am using a 60 gallon Breeder tank as my sump. I have a Red Sea Reef Mat 1200, I am going to install in the first chamber, and I am trying to decide whether I should "hang" it on the side of the tank, or use the included legs to stand in the sump. I guess my question is, how deep does it need to be in the sump? Hanging it on the edge of the tank puts it about 1.5 inches higher in the sump, then if standing on the included legs on the bottom. Is there any preference over one or the other? Any benefits?
Any help or suggestions would be wonderful. Thanks
