I have a trigger 39 sump that I'm going to cut the sock section out of to fit a reef mat. The 1200 is going to be a really tight fit since Im running a big skimmer. Would a 500 handle the 240? I have diel durso overflows so the water flow isn't crazy, about 500 gph through the sump

I went with the 1200. Now to cut out the filtersock section of the sump. Wish me luck

1200 is a lot better for a larger tank but why not sell the sump and buy/custom order a bigger one for the job vs cut the sump?

Very very nerve racking but I did it! Sump is all cut
