reef octopus skimmer constantly emits micro bubbles why?

I have had my elite skimmer breaking in over 10 days now preparing for adding fish and inverts the plug is out and its still bubbling over.. it still releases tons of micro bubbles into the sump that make it into the tank... why?

Is the water level too low is the water level too high? honestly I always have issues with reef octopus products but I feel it is user error.. However I can dial in my bubble magus and simplicity units all the time....

Tried calling coralvue and I get somebody who tells me to email in per the usual.... It sucks you cant talk to a live human on the phone anymore...

I’d raise it up! Sounds like the water level is too high.

I suspect it isn't fully broken in after 10 days since you're only now adding livestock if i'm interpreting your post correctly.
For what it's worth, I run my elite 220 in 9" of water with the wedge pipe fully open and varios controller set to max on a very heavily stocked 470g with no microbubble issues unless feeding pe mysis/diy frozen blends

I've used two different RO elite skimmers. The 150 and just upgraded to the 220. I had to raise the height on the 150 to reduce the bubbles. My sump height is 8". I raised the 150 3" and it worked great. You might need some more time to break in, but also might need to raise the skimmer up. Let us know your water height that the skimmer is sitting in.

After I upgraded to the 220, I no longer needed to raise the skimmer. I added a neck extension which has allowed me to increase to full speed on the pump.

There really aren’t any organic materials in the system so I think it’s that. I made a nice skimmer stand and I’ll measure the water height tonight… I got busy last night. I’m thinking it’s at about 5-6” of water depth.
