Did you cut both sides of the rails for each plug..except the one that are not controlled?

By both sides do you mean the (L)hot and (N)neutral bars, black and white?
If so, then no. I only separated the L side of the outlets (the small bar on the plug).

Here is a quick schematic.
Sorry it's not the easiest to follow. I made some attempt to keep it in the relative orientation it would be in.

Removed image from last post, this is slightly better and doesn't have the error that was in the other one.

hello everyone, has anyone given any thought into a small UPS kind of deal for their pi? I noticed if pi has to lose power and restart, we lose reef-pi till it's opened again. I am looking for a guy battery pack or small UPS to over come this, just curious to know if any one has already done this or given this a thought.

I noticed that too, but didn't think of a backup unit. I thought of asking Ranjib if reef-pi could automatically re spawn itself. Battery backup is a great idea.
I was thinking of respawing too, my worry is it won't work for folks that have multiple OS trying to boot at startup. I don't have that issue, but not sure if that's a good long-term solution.
