For some reason, the settings has 5 rows and 1 column, while the details are 4x2 , i.e. 4 rows ans 2 columns. Thats what causing the problem. You can save the dashboard settings in a file, then edit it to fix it, and then update it using the API back. here is how
1) To save the current dashboard settings in a file do this:
Code:
curl -u reef-pi:reef-pi http://localhost/api/dashboard > dashboard.json
2) then edit the dashboard.json file and change the rows number to 1 (just to be safe, once the UI is working you can set this again ), and save the dashboard.json file
3) Update the dashboard settings using API
Code:
curl -X POST -d @dashboard.json -u reef-pi:reef-pi http://localhost/api/dashboard

Aaaaah! Ranjib! You, Sir, are an absolute star! Worked perfectly. Up and running perfectly again.

Thanks a lot. Really appreciate the help.

No worries :-) , it is a code bug , and I'll definitely add necessary measure to not let this happen. Your testing is a great help for an open source project like reef-pi.

These enclosures looks awesome. I currently spend at least 10-25$ for enclosures , for each build. And they also requires decent amount of drilling for standoffs, panel mount jacks etc. 3d printed designs should be cheaper as well as free of any fabrication requirement.

If you do publish the 3d designs, please tag them with #reef-pi, whenever I plan to print mines, I can search them all easily :)
Well I can not talk about helping anyone with 3d prints or parts on this site, I was told not to do this from the admin. So if you need any thing send me a PM and we will talk through e-mail. I was helping some members with some test kit parts and they removed our post. But I will be more than happy to help.

Looks awesome :) this is 2.0.0-beta-6 ?

Yes it is ..

I did have two strange things happen.. But Because of the storms we have been having intermittent network issues. Might just be that.

1. OUTLET ISSUE... I Created all the Outlets.. Outlet 1 Lost its Name Tag and stopped functioning.. It refused to allow me to delete that outlet. I had to clear database.. ( not happened again sense
2. Similar issue with the RGB Light channel.. But again it cleared up.. Resources on pi show low usage but I am wondering if creating everything all at once might be doing it..

Things That would be Awesome to have.
A Auto backup button of the Database,, To keep several Copies while sitting things up. ( Or other means to go back)

Ability to Edit Relays, Inlets, Jacks, and all other items Without deleting and re-adding..

Water Change tab that can use float switches to control either Dosing pump (JACKS ) Or Ac pumps (relays) Yes i know it can be done now..

I have a Question.. What is the best way to assign a Static Ip to the pi..

You have inspired me to learn more about electronics,And i am considering formal Classes, Will use my Contractors On going Education Credits to do so..

Thanks Erica ..

You should not worry about it at all. You will never ask a question that we'll not like. I myself learned things along the way, so completely understand that. I think getting a reef-pi build has more to do with not giving up and systematically fixing the errors in multiple attempts than being an expert on coding or electronics. You'll learn along the way,, pretty much everything
@U.P.Guy
Also when you stubble or before you make a mistake ask the Questions, Read online and study diagrams, adafruit is a Awesome place to start . They have straight forward info that you do not need to be a Electronics Engineer to understand.. Of course there are others as well.

Love looking at these build pics. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
That tiny board is inside the Light Housing. I know this Causes the need for more power supplies But to me it makes more sense. And I have a Double outlet every 2 feet on the Ceiling above my Sump wall which is 14 feet long . Will add 8 more with the Relays .

I am waiting on my Sub electrical Panel to come in before i put this in use. I am going to finally Perm install my Home Generator after the mess two nights ago...

The word "Equipment" is both singular and plural in US English, so "Equipments" is not correct English.

This is what I noticed right away when I read post #1.
It bothers me to see it, so I searched the thread first to see if this has been pointed out.

Got it. I’ll have to reread the rules to keep my memory fresh. I thought selling is not allowed .

Concurrent creating of things should not have any problem , if there is , it’s a bug . I have a comprehensive integration test that check for basic functionalities are intact, but nothing around performance (like concurrent operations), I’ll work on it soonish .
I plan to add connector and equipment editing capabilities around 2.0, i have to do the ui, the backend logic is already there, api allows all of these already

I use my xfinity portal to allocate static ip (not exactly static , but permanent lease , as it’s still dhcp, and it does the same job ) to keep my individual builds ip constant . Not worthy if you set individual host names (not in reef-pi, but in raspberry pi) then you should also be able to access them as “reef-pi-aio.local” (avahi lets you do that )

Yeah, and then the conclusion was changing it from the whole codebase will involve some core code changes (breaking api , since equipments word is used as part of the api), visual changes (ui ) can be made as special case , but that will lead to inconsistent terminology across ui and backend code, finally those who were involved in the thread suggested it does not bother them a lot, given the amount of work required , I dropped it at the end.

That said , this is something that should be fixed, easier to fix when reef-pi is smaller, and a major version upgrade is exactly to do such things ... so..let me think

Us'uns tanks that u's ar'nt froms Kentucky ... Us'uns make up our own words.. hehehe

Cute little story regarding that, I'm out here in Ca but grew up in the south and my Dads family is from Pikeville Ky. Anyway I have became the (semi) official
"Appalachian-American" translator for my department and the Superior Court in my county. People here are completely stumped by either a southern or a "hillbilly" accent. It's funny to have a Judge ask me "what did he say?"
