hi, im getting an error in reef pi, hoping someone can help

Most likely you have not enabled i2c . Please follow the adafruit guide on setting up those bits

Resurrecting this to add the solution for future searchers.

At the Pi command prompt:

sudo raspi-config

Select Interfacing Options

Enable the I2C interface.

Back out of the menus and you're done. It should work after rebooting.
