i cant edit my first post... sorry for that mess up there
the free space on the pcb are gonna be populatet with the circuit for the switches with or without a monoflop (i dont want to use buttons so i have to simulate them)

OR i go for a one button solution with more scripts for my semi automatic water change...

the blue wires are for the 8ch relais. the yellow wire is the temperature circuit and the green wires are for the liquid level sensors (one for max and one for min water level)

the soldering looks not like good practice but its good enough for me ;)
i will use the strompi v2 for extra safety in case of a blackout with a lipo from my drones

the turtle is a chinese pond turtle with some black phantom tetra and amano shrimps

Very cool. What are your plans for the controller and will you have a touch screen display or use VNC viewer?
in the first stage i want to control the temperature, the airpump, the light (simple on/off) and be able to turn on/off the waterpump with a softwarebutton
there will be no touch screen or vlc. the reefpi is accessible in my network (wlan) and smartphone via vpn-server that run on another pi.

the second stage will be my semi automatic waterchange with two three-way valves and a three-way switch

Lets see, we now have Freshwater Planted Pi, Frog Pi and now Turtle Pi. Awesome, see what a good idea reef pi is? Ability to customize is key!

Welcome, you will find nothing but good advice on this board when you build!
yeah i love this community. ive bin here for about a year and read all whats about to do with reefpi

little progress was made today (have a little daughter and i play world of tanks ;))

two of the 2,5mm cables together are to thick for the 8 channel relay, so i have to use this connection clamps

almost done with the 230v work
then i build the 5v rail with sensors
last will be the reefpi software with the strompi voltage monitoring and alert

relay 4 and 5 are not used at the moment. these two are for the three-way-valves
the glue does not work very well so i screwed the standoffs down

looking at the pictures i noticed a mistake i made... i dont need the far right (always on) power socket. i find a use for it xD

Looks good! I like how cleanly you have it wired.

I'm playing with the macros atm and it looks like I can't run macros triggered by macros.
The structure looks like this: macro1(timer1 on, wait28, macro2 on(timer 2 on, wait60, timer 2 off), timer 1 off)
I expect the behaviour that both macros have the status running after 40sec but only macro1 run for 28sec and only timer1 goes on and off.

Next question and that's a big one for me...
How do I set up following situation without the month value in cron?
Jan 6 Hours light
Feb 8 Hours light
Mar 9 hours light
Apr 11
May 12
June 14
July 14
Aug 12
Sept 11
Oct 9
Nov 8
Dec 6

The light is under equipment and not light in my configuration

There is no easy way to do that in reef-pi currently . Your best bet is to use the api and write a small python or ruby script that willl update the light timer every month
