This abalone hitchiked off some corals from either Bali or Fiji. Reef safe?

Thanks

lol I had no idea they were in such high demand! I do have a bit of an algae problem but my tank is only 60 g so I may have to pass it onto a friend when it gets bigger. I’ll wait a little bit for any other answers but will probably put it in this evening.

My good friend and I were at a LFS a month ago and they had a few decent sized abolone in stock for $30. My buddy bought one and put it into his SPS dominant tank and said he has no issue with it.

your‘s look like a juvenile and you could probably sustain it by giving it nori to eat after it decimates the algae problem in your tank

I would assume, but I'm not sure. They are meant to be voracious algae eaters, grow big and die of starvation. Maybe one of the ID gurus like @ISpeakForTheSeas can ID this one and tell you.
Yeah, to my knowledge all Abalones are herbivores, so they should be reef-safe.

Baloney the Abalone is my favorite clean up crew member. Very delicate navigating around the tank. Absolute unit where'd you order from Im putting in a order?🤣
