I don't really know anything about the species, but I'm trying to pick out a wrasse for my 55gal reef tank. I was hoping some of my fellow reefers who own(ed) wrasses can give me some ideas and information.

melanurus wrasse
On some sites they show it has not reef safe. I have had one in every tank and never had issues. It’s mainly inverts they like. And they also need sand.

This is the Bible on wrasses if interested in learning about them. Happy reefing!
