So i have a smaller reef tank (33G) set up for almost two years now. Mostly SPS and some clams...a few LPS(frogspawn, etc). The tank has been prestine for awhile now with everything thriving. I had a Fluval canister on there just with some Phosphate removing media but it threw lots of mirco bubbles into tank. So recently i took the canister off and within a week algae grows over the glass everyday even by time i get bak from work even if scraped the night before. Also, little air lookin bubbles seem to form where the algae is. Some of the rocks have a little of this green algae also. It comes right off but is annoying and even the water doesnt seem to have the same clarity. Is it just the fact that im not running as large of a amount of phosphate media threw the tank now that the canisters gone....btw I use D/I Water so there should be little to no phospate in the water anyway which was my thought process when i took the canister off. Suggestions...prob through another on with sum media...haha

I think you kind of answered it already.
Your phosphates are coming from feeding most likely. I would cut down on the amount you are feeding the fish, run the phos media again and you should be back on track.
