I would think that the old JDieck calc would be the baseline with a large portion of the work done. I backed into triton concentrations, but I am not sure what else is out there that people use.

Yes, I’m suggesting we use it as a template, but some things like AFR are new and some things like Red Sea products may now have different names.

As Reef2Reef moves forward to try to set up our own calculators, which calcium, alk, and magnesium products would you like to see listed?

Let’s keep this thread focussed on the needed products, while wish list ideas for calculators should go here:

Calculators for your DIY recipes. I know they work with other calculators, but I think it would be helpful for people to have the recipes and calculators all on R2R and clearly labeled.

Reef Pro! Their products are great and have a ppm per 1mL per gallon/liter dosing instructions which I would assume help in creating a specific calculator. Also so cool to see requests for specific calculators!

I would like to see Brightwell Aquatics Fusion 2 part as well as their Reef Complete & Reef Carbonate 2 part. Also 2 little Fishes C Balance. And of course how these cross reference to All for Reef.

Don’t forget to create a calculator for Part RPD, which is the new Part 6 of the old 2 Part system, due to proprietary reasons, we cannot disclose what will be in this RPD (Reef Pixie Dust).

Of course. lol

Ok, we are rolling on putting together the Reef2Reef calculator, and I could use your help.

We are working on alk first.

If you have an alk product you would like to see in it, please name the product and provide a link to a page that shows its potency.

Alternatively, copying the words on the bottle about potency will suffice.

Thanks!

AFR is a combo but usually dosed by alk levels. I don't think I've ever seen it in a calculator so it would be nice.

Potency 😉

I can't wait until we do Fauna Marin Balling Light....

Should somebody ping Claude or his mini-me to get the current published number?

sorry... it is a tic

That is an issue. I think we’d have to use their data but perhaps put an asterisk on it, like a world record field goal kick , “but with a strong wind assist”. lol

AFR will definitely be in it and I have the needed info from Hans-Werner’s posts. :)

Joking aside, I think a similar issue holds for the BRS product as well. As I remember, there is some discrepancy in concentration based on mixing and dosing instructions and your attempts at helping them clarify fell flat.
