Saw this at MACNA 2017 and received email today that the Reefbot is available for early adapters. Anyone using, or going to purchase this (#tiredofwaitingfortrident).

"ReefBot uses traditional reagent based method to autonomously measure the levels of the most common parameters in your tank. It currently measures Alkalinity (Alk), Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), Nitrate (NO3), Phosphate (PO4) with more parameters added regularly."

I want one of these so bad, I hope it proves to be reliable, consistent, accurate, and pereciese.

I would want to put the tank input line in a little vessel so I could use it to test multiple tanks though by simply take a little bit of water from each tank and run some tests

Wow, where have I been? This is the first I've heard of this. I was eagerly waiting for the Trident to come out in the hopes that the price of Alkatronic would drop. I would definitely rather spend $899 for this over Alktatronic. I don't run a Ca reactor so can't take advantage of Alkatronic's dosing and don't really need apex integration either. I don't need to continuously test or even test 3x/day. I like how the frequency of testing can be set and that nitrate and phosphate can be tested. Very tempted to pick one of these up.

Got it installed finally. Installation, setup and calibration went smoothly. Have done some tests over the last day. API kits are useless, possibly excepting Ca. It is probably fine.

Only one problem so far, a bent needle already. On the 5th test. Pay close attention to verticality when installing!

Otherwise, with good reagents this thing is going to be awesome. The software isn't without a few minor bugs, but overall it's super well thought out and designed. I am impressed.

I just bought one. What tests do you recommend?

Tropic Marin PO4, maybe Giesmann but I haven't tested it. Salifert or Red Sea Alk, API Ca for sure. API is the only NO3 test kit, but I am not happy with it. The range is too high and not useful. Hoping to come up with something different soon for that. Mg testing is not that good with any test, as Rabih has pointed out elsewhere.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have to test multi times a day or can you pick how long between tests?
