I will be adding a second tank in addition to my 40g mixed reef. I’m eyeing a high end coral tank with maybe 6 fish or so.

I’ve narrowed it down to the IM25 Lagoon or the ReefCasa 24g Laguna. Both similar in size and AIO units.

Does anyone have an opinion a reason to pick one over the other?

The ReefCasa option is 1g smaller with a $50 higher price tag… 🤔

Quick cost comparison update: (inc shipping)

IM 25g $300
Waterbox peninsula 25g $350
ReefCasa 24g $390

The Reef Casa and IM are very similar, but I ended up going with the IM because it's cheaper, and I'm very happy with it. It has some redundant safety features like dual overflows/returns, and even an emergency overflow versus the single overflow/return on the Reef Casa. The Reef Casa's simpler layout might look slightly cleaner to some though. There are lots of aftermarket and 3D printed parts available for the IM as well. I use a couple of filter pad cups from Etsy on mine. The Waterbox peninsula is a completely different shape, so that would be the biggest factor there.

I personally went with IM after doing quite a bit of deep digging and seeing really good stuff about them. TBH I don't know anything about the reefcasa line. I do really like the IM though. Nice build quality and attention to detail is top notch IMO. For the price, you are getting a really nice AIO.
As mentioned the redundancy of the overflow is nice and I really like the dual return. The set-up I got had two return pumps rather than a single one split to two nozzles.
