Thanks everyone, we are finally making pretty good progress on things. Update we are onto varnishing the wood, we have made the last plumbing installs through the floor boards. We have as you can see started the lighting install and also the finishing wood work. We are really hoping that over the Christmas holiday that we will be able to get the flooring under the tank done with the carpet and tile etc. We also hope to start on the move of the tank into its long term positive on the floor in the living room.

Before the Christmas holiday is upon us here in Minnesota we thought we try to get out another update on the rest of our work we have been doing.

Update on the progress this week during the Christmas break. We have added the the second RO DI unit whcih allows us to make water at a rate of 200 gallons per day off two different valves. Then we also finished the staining/varnishing on the cabinets, now we will add the tank to the cabinet and get ready for the system to come to life soon.

Making some progress here, we have started full water tests as of this weekend and only one leak so far on a piece of pvc so not bad. Anyways here is the latest look at it we just put out there.

I think you're going to need a chiller living in MiniSoda. It gets pretty hot, dontchyaknow!

Thanks....right now the temp is -15F so the chiller is just global climate change=)

Another video update we did, the system is finally getting ready for saltwater=)

We have made it to placing coral in the new system. The 30 day phosphate soak is done, the tank is cycling on the zeovit system and the levesl for things are great, the ammonia down to zero, the nitrates are very low and nitrites zero. The phosphates are at very low but still detecting 18ppb on the phosphorous tests. The Mg is now at 1300, and we have calcium 460, the alk is at 7-7.1 . Been stable on the pH for about week now at 7.99-8.02 throughout the day. The temp we set at 78 and staying there within 0.5 degrees throughout the day. The plan is this duncan colony first then maybe a clam colony second and from there start to move LPS over. The SPS coral is the goal towards the year end. Really we think the system is coming along well. Here is the latest on the colony of coral we made.
