Hey, I’m new to the forum but have been keeping marines since 2013.

After a 4 year break in 2016 I set up a reefer 350, this tank lasted 2 years before I decided it was to much for me to keep on top of so I’ve recently downgraded to a reefer 200xl.

I used the rock and water from the 350 and added some new Marco rock.

Equipment on the tank is as follows.

Red Sea reefled 160s running the 15k preset schedule.

2x Nero 5’s running min 35% max 65% random mode high variance.
1x jump gyre 2k running 50% pulse @ 0.4s

nyos quantum 120 skimmer
D-D rowaphos reactor, 50g changed every 4 weeks.
Tunze refugium light with cheato.

Reef factory x4 dosing pump dosing reef zlements ph plus 13ml a day currently.

I hoped to keep mostly Acropora in this set up but it’s proven rather difficult so far. During the transfer process I lost a few big colony’s and a lot of frags, Sps are still showing signs of stn with no real obvious cause. The few lps I have seem to be doing fine.

The fishy inhabitant of this tank include,
1 common clown
1 davinci clownfish
1 possum wrasse
1 yellow tail tamarin wrasse
1 orange spot goby
1 mandarin
1 dart fish

here’s a few pictures I’ve got of the tank.

I like how quiet the skimmer is, I had the 160 before on my reefer 350, mandarins doing good, I’ve had him for 18 months and got him on frozen copepods so quite lucky really, although I do still add live to the tank weekly

Bad day for the tank today, a couple more colony’s and frags stn’d. Everything I’ve added after the switch is doing ok. Guessing it’s the change in flow and things I can’t test for.
Alk,cal, mag and nutrients have all been stable, they’re under the same light receiving very similar par so I’m stumped. Took the opportunity to have a little rescape though.
