Reefer 250 uv plumbing

I know someone With a 350 who had a separate small return pump with tubing and barb fittings in the return chamber that supplied only his uv mounted to the side of the cabinet and then returned back into the same chamber .....believe it was hooked up to a timer aswell

I thought about doing that but since I have a Vectra only running at 50% I want to utilize that. I also heard that the uv shouldn't pick up and return water in the sump. I don't know how true that is though.

Yeah idk then just get some barbed union fittings and run it inline just gota watch the flow rate for the uv
