For anyone running this combo could you please tell me what speed / percentage you are running the pump at? I would be most appreciative. Thank you!

Thanks - I've been playing with this for a few months now. I have my SDC 7.0 at only 24%, which seems to be good controllable flow through the sump, but the overflow never stays consistent. It's a constant battle. Your flow through there is much, much more than mine. I must be doing something wrong. I'm hoping someone with the same exact setup responds so I can compare.

Could you talk about your overflow? How many pipes, and what size diameter? Are you running Herbie, or Bean, or straight pipe of some kind?

Should be pretty consistent, unless the pump is changing or the overflow isn't properly set up/tuned.

It's the standard Red Sea set up with an extremely picky valve to regulate things. All will be fine for a few weeks and then for no reason, things will change and it will start acting up. Adjust, rinse, repeat. But lately my main concern is whether I have the proper flow through my sump. I tried to look on YouTube and for some Rea Sea sumps I saw, water was hardly a trickle through there. Others seem to have a lot more gusto. I'm just hoping some folks with the same setup as mine can chime in.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
