Hi reefers
I have today a shallow tank. Its dimension is 63 inches x 35 x 16. My light system is composed by 8 Hydra 26 (4 hydras on 2 lines) at 13 inches from the water, 2 AI blade grow on the sides at 2 inches of the water, 1 AI blade glow at 13 inches of the water. I have 400 par under the surface, and 300 on the bottom
My problem is that the distribution of the light is not homogeneous, and that the light is too much White for me. Moreover, i would like to increase the par for my acroporas
I have a mixed population with acroporas, euphyllia, montipora and zoanthus and other soft corals

I was wondering if the reefi uno pro 2.1 could answer to my need : blue light with the maximum fluorescence during main part of the day, and increasing my par at the top of the tank without burning my lps at the bottom.
What do you think ?

And how much reefi should I take for my wide tank ? Thanks

You would need 3 of them to cover that tank. If you’re patient, Quanta Lights will be releasing their new updated bars (Helix) that would cover your tank perfectly. You could do the 3 bar combo that he’s offering. Awesome spectrum and dimming, via 0-10v. I think Reefi’s are awesome lights and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, but having the coverage from bars makes more sense on your tank. Just something to think about and explore.
Cheers!

This is my 96 x 24 x 31in 300g tank, with 4 Uno 2.1 on top. These lights provide a 24x24 inch foot print mounted 12inchs above water line on my tank. Not a great pic, I'll provide more.

Better pic without the Lights visible:

And a picture of my Light Profile. I'm at 90 - 100 par on my Sand, 250 on the Highest Shelf on right hand side by the standpipe. and yeah I am only using 125w of the available 270watts.

If you go with the REEFI use a par meter to set them up.

To answer your question of will they fill my need, YES! They will More than fill your need, and with a 3 yr warranty, BEST IN INDUSTRY, you really can't go wrong with a light that costs HALF what the Leading Lights cost and the Reefi is all around a better light IMO than Radion, Kessil or Orphek.

BTW my tank is 18months old, over a year on Reefi Lights, I would not even look at another light, I am that pleased with the reefi's. But you really need to join the reefi facebook group and see Daniel Lu in action, his customer service is the best I have seen also.

At 100% will this light handle 48 inch deep tank?

I have 3 Reefi UNO 2.1 over my sps tank and I like them. They are very powerful if you run them at higher wattages. One of my reefing buddies uses Orphek bars along the edges to eliminate any dead spots in the light.

One can contact Daniel at Reefi with any questions they may have, he is very knowledgeable about lighting.
