@rushbattle - any tips on making sure the needle doesn't get bent?
Just make sure the needle is vertical. You can sort of influence that by holding the mount securely, and the pushing on the plastic base of the needle. It will only change a tiny bit but that is hopefully all you need. You can also check the syringe verticality over the mount and influence that as well.

First set of testing done! Very easy to setup. String is slightly difficult to put in there but not terrible, I understand it's gotta Be tight.

Results
Alk
hanna checker 10.3
Red sea Reefbot 10.1
API reefbot 12

Im running more throughout the day and will run both alks everyday for probably a week to see if the api gets better or stays way off.

Initial test results:

Alk
Manual: Hanna: 8.3 dkH; Salifert: 8.3 dkH
Reefbot Salifert: 0.60 dkH

Ca
Manual: Salifert: 460 ppm
Reefbot API: 460 ppm

NO3
Manual: Salifert: 1 ppm
Reefbot API: 0 ppm (API range is 0 ppm, 5 ppm, 10 ppm, 20 ppm, 40 ppm)

I am running the Reefbot Salifert alk test again as something definitely is wrong there.

These tests take on average 40 min each to run (each one has 2 reagents). You wouldn't want to use this if you needed numbers right away. But I can see how this would be useful to schedule tests to run regularly (especially at night or when you are away).

Waiting on my RedSea alk, Mg and Geissman PO3 kits to arrive.

The 1 meter length is really short. I have the reefbot right up against the side of my stand and have just enough room to reach into my sump. My ATO reservoir is on the other side of the stand, so will need to set up a different RODI reservoir just for this.

Power cord definitely needs to be on the same side as the tubing.

Ok, I ran the Reefbot Salifert alk 2 more times. First time it gave me 2.20 dkH. Then I thought maybe these results were due to not completely filling up the reefbot reagent vials. I was using an already opened kit, so the reagents were not full. I emptied a new salifert alk kit into the vial (which BTW, the Alk Ind reagent still does not fill). Ran the test again and low and behold:

Reefbot Salifert alk: 8.3 dKH
matching my manual Hanna and Salifert alk tests.

I need to look into how to set the reagent volume. The only option I saw was to reset it (to 20 ml), but no way to manually adjust it.

Also mine did not come with any reagent vial stickers. Is it supposed to?

I Received mine a day early , but gonna check it out tomorrow. 3 feet is pretty short I’m gonna look into a small shelf after work tomorrow. One question We need it the same height or above the source tank correct ? I Might place it over my Ato Storage tank and pull Rodi from there

Hold on everyone. I got an email last week about offer of $100 off for being an "early adopter" or reef bot. HOWEVER the 'fine print' : $899 but have to supply my own reagents (*API reagent needed for Nitrate , API is not that accurate) ; only selling to USA but no distributor here.
ONLY WARRANTY FOR 30 DAYS!! REALLY! Must not have a lot of confidence in new machine. Since being an "early adopter" there still might be some "bugs & needed fixes" ( which means no matter what you say you have not thoroughly tested it) - which means early adopters are the BETA testers. If you decide you don't want it or needs 'fixing' you have to ship it all the way back to Beirut, Lebanon!!. Plus shipping here is only thru DHL which is a pretty expensive shipper. NOW, don't get me wrong I think it's a great concept but if you really are serious about finding a market in US : 1. More beta testing to get more "bugs & fixes" done. 2. need at least a 12 MONTH warranty. 3. need a US distributor to send machine to if needs repair. IMO

Yeah it looks like you need 2 salifert alk kits to fill the one vial.

Got mine a day early and got it hooked up today. dang it's cool!

Ran the first test with Red Sea Alk and it was dead on at 8.7. I have it running a bunch more tests now and am excited to see the results.

Setup was easy. Only thing I'd recommend is a way to prime the tubes. I had to run my calibration a few times before it was right. The setup with the app was really easy.

The 1 meter tubes to the tank and RO sources just aren't going to be long enough. Finding real estate that close to the sump is going to be a challenge. I also wish it was John Guest push to connect fittings. I'm guessing I'm just going to be screwed on the length since it's using that length to calculate when it's drawing in a new sample? There didn't seem to be a calibration process like the Alkatronic so it can determine how long the tube is. Is that right?

Hello Puffy,

Congratulations on receiving your ReefBot.

In regards to reseting your volume, as mentioned you can do it through the app only.

Let us know if you need anything else.

Happy Reefing!

Hello @MyReefRobbedMe

We prefer to have the ReefBot on the same level.

Happy Reefing!
