The ReefBot is now compatible with Tropic Marin Nitrate Pro test kit. You can read your Nitrate levels between 0 and 20 ppm!

How many test kits are needed to fill the 20ml vial? What is the resolution at the lower range?

Bulk reef usually stocks. I just bought them all but I’m sure they will get more soon

Have you put the TMP nitrate test in the reefbot ? Does it require shaking like the API ?
For me, if I shake the API nitrate #2 and tell the reefbot to run the test, then the test result is accurate. But, after a day without shaking, the nitrate test results will be off by a lot.

I have not received them yet. I’ll let you know. My stuff usually take 7 to 10 days to get though

Strange doesn’t the magnetic pill stir it for you each time?

The reefbot do stir the API nitrate #2 for me, but I guess the stirring is not enough. I think API nitrate #2 requires vigorous shaking. What is your experience ?

Yesterday afternoon I recieved an email from the reefknetics robotics guy. I guess they are devising a plan to repair my bot from failing to complete tests.
Hope to be up and running soon.
On another note I have been getting alot of alerts from the reefbot. Has anyone else gotten multiple alerts for disconnect and reconnecting of the wifi?
I had an ok signal but didnt want any issues so I went and purchased a wifi extender. This gave me full signal strength in the room the bot is in.
Im still getting alerts..

Yeah, I had a few disconnections the last few days as well, including a failed test, just like you have above. Most of the time it reconnected right away, but last night, it did not reconnect. I tried reconnecting (re-adding) the bot in the app, but it couldn't find it. I unplugged and replugged the reefbot, then it was able to find it and reconnect. I don't think it was an issue with the wifi signal as my reefbot sits 3 feet away from my router.

I purchased a wifi extender to see if I could stop back and forth connection but it didnt do anything that I could tell

Been away for awhile, unit has been running great for the last few weeks. Been using Red Sea alk, api calc, geisman mag.

Alk has been pretty close to my hanna when I check. I .org had Red Sea mag but had issues with readings. Since I’ve switched to geisman it’s been much closer to my salifert manual check value (+-40). Calcium is typically in the ballpark as well (+-20).

Overall I’m happy with the unit.

How off was the RedSea Mg from the Salifert manual check value? Is Giesemann Mg 3 vials also? How many test kits to fill the reagent vial?

Just to update based on my comments in this thread...
Reefknetics has been very helpful in trying to assess and rectify any and all issues I have had. Sometimes they might not acknowledge quickly when I have reached out with a concern, but it seems when they do respond it has been with a solution based on testing they are conducting to try and repeat an issue. So, they are working on it even if they have not acknowledged the email.
Even concerns I did not present to them, but commented on here they have reached out to me to resolve.
All in all its been very refreshing to see the concern to want to make a quality product.
Fwiw I get my replacement bot Monday. I guess there is a robotics issue with the one I currently have. That I could not diagnose.
