Anyone know how to cool down a reeflo dart??? On my current 70gal cube a run a dart on a closed loop with a oceans motion 4 way... Well with the back pressure it seems to make my tank run really warm like 84 degrees :(. I have 2 fans on the sump that keep it stable at 79.2 but I would like to turn them off or one at least to keep the top off to a minimum... I sort of remember someone on here changing the internal fan blades or something to cool it down.... Any suggestions are welcome thanks...

Haha that was me lee haha I was talking about how my buddy made a custom fan for his dart but it still was not running as cool as he'd liked so he boxed it off from the rest of his sump area and got half inch inside diameter tubing wrapped it around the motor body a few times and has it hooked up to maxijet 1200 sitting in a rubbermade of coolant and it dropped his understand ambient temp by almost 7 degrees!
I just blocked mine off from the rest of my stand area and it dropped it 3 so maybe this will help

I tried a fan blowing on the pump it self it helped a little but not enough..:(. Hmm I hate to get a chiller..

Get a five gallon bucket maxijet 1200 some antifreeze and some 1/2"Id tubing wrapp the Tubing around the pump body and have the inlet and outlet in the bucket with the lid on it works well
