wow, i said i wouldnt put caps in my new tank but this is an exception!

That's almost exactly what I said when I saw this. It was pretty spendy for the small frag I got, but I think it was worth it.

To answer a question, mine is a true orange, though a couple frags I've given to others have looked more red-orange in their tanks. Never seen it look pink though. It does pop nicely under actinics, but I wouldn't say the yellow polyps fluoresce. Mine took forever to grow out and I've only more recently gotten brave enough to start fragging. One of the slower growing caps I've seen. Not necessarily a bad thing though.

Jody is actually the one who posted this coral up and gave everyone on R2R a heads-up about the coral about a year or a little more ago. He posted some pics and pointed me to Reef Tech, so I called and got a frag right away. Haven't really heard anything more about it since then though. Kinda suprised me.

Wow... I don't think my wife would appreciate me spending that much money for a 1/2 inch piece of coral :) I told her about Revs red plate and how it died but its making babies and she just turned around and walked out of the room :p

Did that statement offend you?
If it did- it was not intended that way.
Just stating Jody has always helped out our club. And is a great guy.

Wasn't meant any other way and wasn't a poke at any sponsor here. I appreciate everyone that allows me to have these forums/sites to go to.

Are the large polyps always present on this cap? How hardy is it? Decent grower?
