That looks like an IceCap ATO reservoir in front of your sump. Which model did you squeeze in there? What is it's capacity?

Hey there!
It’s an Icecap 10 gallon reservoir. It fits perfectly with the Fiji Cube 36 Advanced reef sump.

Also, where did you purchase your plumbing components? It looks really first rate!!

It’s all schedule 80(definitely don’t need schedule 80 but I like the look). I got all the fittings from BRS and the PVC from my local hardware store. It’s all diy by yours truly.

I really like the IM tanks and stands (have the 50 gallon AIO now) but agree that their sump design is ridiculously large, taking up the entire stand. To have a five foot tank where the ATO reservoir has to sit next to the tank is crazy.

I hope you didn't patent that plumbing design because I am thinking about duplicating it!!! No reason to reinvent the wheel when someone else has nailed it!

I’m with you 100%. I have the 50EXT with the rfs sump and while it is excellent it took up the entire cabinet. I have a 5 gal icecap behind the extra cabinet I put all the controllers. This is why I went with the Fiji Cube for this build. Much more room with this. Absolutely copy me if you want! Let me know when you get a bigger tank. I’d love to help and see the progress

If I was even a little bit comfortable with plumbing, I'd set up a smaller sump as well. (Have the same 170 INT coming soon!) But alas, I do not trust myself to not flood my apartment so I'll be using the gargantuan sump IM makes. It really is an odd design choice on their part, to have a huge cabinet and no room left over.

It’s a great sump and takes all the guess work out of it. You just have to get a little creative to make things fit
