Refractometer Results

Hi,

So i have been using the calibration fluid every time for my refractometer before every use. Currently out and waiting for some to come in. So I saw that you can use rodi water to calibrate. So I did, and when using the calibration fluid it's at zero without adjusting and my tank read 1.027. When I use rodi water, it's a couple clits above zero without adjusting and my tank reads 1.025. Which one to trust?

I'd trust the calibration solution.

Ok, so that is not a true seawater refractometer and even if perfectly made, will not be correctly calibrated with ro/di. I do not know for sure if the standard is accurate, but that’s what I would go with.

Making your own standard is also a good option.
