It seems like most of the refractometers on the market these days have tiny little scales and I find them hard to read. The Vertex is a prime example. Who makes ones with bigger scales? I have an old "Link" that is awesome to read. :)

Thanks for your input guys. It seems the Milwaukee digital refractometer has less accuracy than many handheld refractometers, so I haven't really considered it. Milwaukee lists accuracy as +/- 2 ppt where most decent handheld refractometers have an accuracy of +/- 1 PPT.

I'm looking particularly at the Red Sea Seawater Refractometer. From their website it looks like the scale is larger than the crappy Vertex scale. With the RS being a true seawater refractometer, that's a bonus. I sent them an email asking about accuracy as I don't see it listed. http://www.redseafish.com/red-sea-salts/seawater-refractometer-salinity-test/

The Milwaukee/Hanna digital keeps telling me my salinity is correct compared to 35ppt solution vrs the tank....Ati Icp & this is showing me its not...the refrac is somewhere in between the argument.
Think this one proves for me where things are.....I think there's a temp issue maybe when i calibrate the milwaukee/hanna + refract as i can't get nowhere that's 20 c to dial them in at that temp.
My tank water is 25 c/77 f so this is perfect for sorting out the argument for me
Oh & their cheaper than noodles, 7 euro
Got it from the same place the fm multi reference solution comes from

Doesn't the marinedepot pro or something like have a smaller window which would make it easier to read?

You may have a good point. I'll look into this more. Certainly easy to read!
