Refugium chaeto/lighting

Two questions-have always growed this in my sump-would you co sider that chaeto-feel like chaeto is always more stringy


2nd question my jbj nano light died-not looking to spend $$ on lights for refugium, heck last tank was just a flood lamp and clamp-

Picked this up and got told firmly this is crap and won’t grow chaeto-or anything-thoughts or low recomendations then for a light

what is the wattage of the light, wattage is a big indicator of strength of the light and PAR potential

That's a 10 watt light, If you use it, it needs to be right at the waters surface, this could cause it to fail from moisture intrusion

Get This off Amazon, $32 , Water Proof Grow Light , its way better for the same price

Maybe the freshwater version. The algae will grow best with lots of red and blue parts of the spectrum
