I have converted a aqua clear 110 into a HOB refugium , my question is , I turn the grow light on when the tank light goes out, but the purple light spills into the tank a little , is that ok?? Will it cause algae growth in the DT, Or hurt any of the corals?

Thanks

Mine does the same. Ended up turning it to only blues at night to give the tank inhabitants a little dark to rest. Not sure how much it lights up but shouldn't be too bad I don't think. You have pics?

I've heard of people leaving blues on all night. I leave my fuge blues but its not the whole tank. I'll take pics tonight. Some argue the blues on all night doesn't affect fish, others say complete dark is needed. Maybe somewhere in the middle is best. Or you could put it on a timer and just have it shut off for like 5 hours?

What kind of light are you using and how did you mount it? I have the same set up but the macro is starting to bleach out. Maybe my light is too bright ? I mounted directly over the water
