Refugium in 8 ppm ammonia? Will it die

So recently I started cycling my tank and accidentally added way to much ammonia chloride to the point where it is at 8ppm, so as I wait for my tank to cycle I wanted to know if I could try to start establishing a copepod population. I wanted to add chateo to the sump so the copepods could hide there, but will 8ppm ammonia kill the copepods or chateo? And will the chateó remove any ammonia in the tank? Thanks in advance!

copepods wont have much to eat except possibly the cato, I would wait until the cycle is done and you have measurable nitrates before adding the cato and pods to the tank. The cato needs nitrates and phosphates

What about adding phyto for the pods and chateó gro for the chateo? Will it disturb the cycle?

Have no idea, never been down that path, I never do anything until cycle is complete, fresh or saltwater
