Hi everyone!

I'm in the process of setting up another reef tank. With this one I'm doing dead Marco rock and a no light cycle for 30 days, the slowly building up light intensity over the following 30 days. I've started with Ocean Direct sand and Fritz Turbo Start 900. I'm about a week in with no lights and have a couple clown fish in there doing well, along with some early detritus only clean up crew members. I have phosphate of .02 and nitrate pushing 20. Would now be a good time to add the chaeto to the refugium and turn on the refugium lights only?

sure yes. and, its done cycling too even if cheap test kits disagree. fritz adheres to surfaces in about 48 hours. nice speed cycle :)

now comes the maturation phase and uglies after the basic ammonia control was all done and set.
