Have you ever grown chaeto ?

I dont have experience with any Kessil lights but i hear good things.
I personally used Tunze Eco chic and they are absolutely work horse. It grew my chaeto into a basketball size and it can be oriented in multiple direction and can be submersed under water.

I cant really see from your pic but is there a sponge in between the middle and the return chamber?
You will def need one squeezed in between them baffles. It will stop chaeto from flowing over onto the return.

I stopped doing chaeto as they are so messy to deal with - to me ; p

I grew chaeto under $10 led grow lights on a timer. I was harvesting half of a 5 gallon bucket every two weeks. I see no need for an expensive light to grow chaeto. Nothing wrong with spending money and your sump is much much nicer than any of mine so there's asthetics to consider I suppose.
This is what I used. I used Velcro and attached mine to the glass and lit it from the side vs hanging a light.

Not sure of the purposes you want to run chaeto is but FWIW I never noticed any reduction in nutrient levels. It did provide a good habitat as a refugium for critters.
