I know that a Regal Angelfish can and will take a liking to zoas... but has anyone found their Regal picking or nipping at their Scoly (acanthophyllia)..?

Mine did a pretty good job of nipping until you could actually see the white skeleton showing through. I pulled the Scoly out and put it into a Q Tank so it could recover, which it did... sad that I can't put it back into the main display tank. Mine is a Bleeding Apple Scoly... Prolly gonna have to sell it.... :(

I've never kept a Regal, but I've kept plenty of dwarf angels over the years and they were all hit or miss as far as picking at LPS.

This may be more of luck than anything but I have had 2 dwarf angels now and never had a problem with nipping. What I've noticed is that when they decide to nip they go after my colt coral/kenya tree first. So I either feed him at that point our just let him nip it.

I have had dwarf angels both a flame and coral beauty and like stated before me its a hit or miss one of them nipped when other didn't.
