So I got an early Christmas present at the end of October in the form of a biocube 29 gallon. I had a 56 gallon African cichlid tank all throughout high school but had to sell before going off to college and I've been missing an aquarium ever since. When I got this new tank it's safe to say I was extremely excited and knew I wanted a mixed reef. I got a killer deal on a maxspect razor 160 watt led light so lighting is perfect. Currently the livestock includes,

Fish:
Two clowns
Yellow watchman goby
Yellow assessor basslet
Scooter blenny

Inverts:
Fire shrimp
Pistol shrimp(paired with goby)
Plenty hermits and snails

Coral:
Duncan
Ricordea Yuma
Green cabbage leather
Frogspawn
Kenyan tree
Pink birdsnest
Green birdsnest
Red cap
Acan

Nice... That's a lot of Maxspecht for a 29g. I have the 420 on mine. What are your settings? Mine ramps up to 50% white/100% blue by mid day, then the whites ramp down to 0% leaving the blues at 100% until they ramp down to 1% for moonlight. I'd like someone elses input on their lighting schedule. Here's a pic...

Definitely a lot of watts per gallon lol but I couldn't pass up the deal I got. Nice looking tank! Lots of softies in there! Burned two frags of Zoas before I got smart and ramped the light down some.

Well, I got a lot of softies because I have bad luck with the sticks... Hahaha I'm ramping down to 80% and cutting back the photo period to see if I can get better polyp extension on the leathers.

I hear ya. Yeah I actually had mine closer to 100% but I burned the hell out of that pink birdsnest you see in the top left. The green birdsnest is perfectly fine though.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
