I have decided to create a 75 gallon sump / Refugee tank to match with my 75 gallon saltwater tank my question is I was considering on running 2 Intake pumps and 2 return pumps now would it be Overkill to run with that much water going through GPH or would it be a good thing to have that much GPH cycling through a tank with so much Rock

If it is a sump then the water is gravity fed so you don't need the intake pumps. For the return you need one that does about a 10x per hour turnover where x = 75 gallons. This is from one of the permanent threads here on R2R if I remember correctly.

I have a Sicce 3.0 on my 55 gallon. It is rated at about 550 gph with a ~5ft head height. You'd have to go higher to a Sicce 4.0 or better yet a 5.0. If you use 2 return pumps you can down size to 2 Sicce 3.0 or equivalent

Oh my goodness thank you so much because I was really lost on that I don't want to do this wrong I put too much work into this. I would rather have Overkill than not enough

I decided to make my refugee so large because I have many grandchildren and I want them to learn the cycle of a saltwater tank so I'm changing the build of my aquarium stand to a more of a open situation which for some people might look ugly but from an educational standpoint it should be awesome
