Bought a used waterbox and the previous owner put 2 of these weird glass pieces on the back wall for light mounting or something. They used BRS silicone to adhere them and I can’t get them off to save my life, I’ve tried razor blades and hitting it with a heat gun, neither worked, anyone have any ideas for me?

I have used fishing line or "piano wire" for similar projects.

If you use razor blades like shims/wedges, adding a few to one side of that very weird glass piece after slicing what you can from the seam, you can eventually get the silicone to stretch just enough to get the thickness of a razor blade into the silicone seam.

Keep in mind, different shapes and styles of razor blades come in different thicknesses… perhaps try finding some extra thin razor blades?

Piano wire sounds like a fantastic option too! I’ve never tried it before and will have to get some to experiment with!
