Hi everyone,

I’ve recently bought my first saltwater tank, it’s a secondhand Waterbox cube 20.

I’m running the tank with some citric acid at the moment to give it a good clean. I was cleaning the corners with a toothbrush and I’ve noticed what it looks like blade marks from the previous owner.

Should I be concerned about them? Should I reseal the tank or add some extra silicone on the corner?

Thanks for your help

The edges are more cosmetic and have no structural integrity. It’s all about the silicone in between the panels. You can not silicone over existing silicone. It will not stick. You would have to remove all silicone and redo bit in your case o would worry about the silicone you can see that is scratched.

Thank for your answers, the tank has been holding water for 3 days with no problems. Time to start planning what I need to buy next
