I have a yellow clown goby and I want to move him to my 10 gallon softie tank as he ticks off all my corals. I haven’t had any luck trying to catch him. Is it okay to remove my rocks during a water change to catch him? I would most likely take the corals off and re attach them after the rocks are back or is this a bad idea

Removing everything makes catching a fish a whole lot easier, that's for sure. and if you're doing a water change, all the better because there will be less water in the tank! You can stash the rock and corals in a bucket of tank water while you do it. Also, the rock itself can be out of water for quite a while and it will be fine. Corals can be out of the water for a few minutes also. But don't leave them long at all.

Should be fine, if you want after you reattach the corals and reassemble your rocks you can throw in a little activated carbon in case any of them are ticked off, and to help clear up the water faster. Also make sure to wear gloves in case there's bristle worms 👍 🪱

All the stores are only opened on the weekend, maybe I could check out a pet smart though. I have a bit of bubble algae so I might as well scrape the rocks also! Haha
