I purchased a used biocube last year, and the LEDs in the hood have slowly been going out over time. Most of the whites still work, and have been keeping my corals happy and growing. The final straw, however, is the entire unit turns off when the primary lights go off, and requires me to reset the entire lighting schedule. I would love to add some blue balance to the tank, so was looking for some good (Budget friendly, preferably) options to replace the stock biocube lighting. Thank you!

I finally upgraded my stock light for the same reason and had the same criteria. I bought the Noopsyche K7 Pro. I removed the lid and added the Kraken Reef cover and inTank Filtration cover. I also got a shade for the light from Parl Aquatics.

The K7 Pro is a solid light for the tank. By far an upgrade over stock. The app is completely functional but very clunky. The arm won't mount the light on center because of the middle lid hinge on the tank. It doesn't bother me but might others. I think that will be a problem for any arm that mounts on the back of the tank though.

I'd have no problem buying the same setup again.

I just added 21USA actin blue led strips. Everything was growing great I just wanted more blue because the colors would wash out with lights at 100%.

Nice cube! I almost forgot I also did an interim mod with two 21LED bars added to the stock light hood. Easy to install, budget friendly, good coloring.

the steves LED's are nice and have a cool feature that simul;ates cloud motion but they are a bit old and controlling them is a bit of a pain. I have had them for about 4 years but am now looking to upgrade. I have AIU prime 16 on my waterbox 20 and love it. ap is very user friendly

hi! Did you have to add extra fan to cool this off or you just installed it and it was good to go. Did you have to do any extra modifications to the biocube cover.
Good morning, no I didn’t add an extra fan or do any modifications. I really haven’t had any problems with heat. These leds run pretty cool. It was good to go.
