I rescued several coral pieces from my neighbor whom was throwing it away. He had acquired from a foreclosure clean out and saw no use for it. Luckily I stopped him.. now what do I do with it and is there an app to picture identify. The only information given coral was from a dive mid '70's, from the Great barrier reef.

Hi there!

Looks like you have some pieces of dry dead porites coral.
At this point, if you want to start a tank or have a tank, you could possibly use them as decoration after you clean them really well.

Other than that, theres not much use for dead coral skeletons. Some guys like to melt them in their calcium reactor.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
