so i've been tinkering (stalling) with this tank for a while and i've finally decided it's time to start a build thread! yay....
first let's start with this incredible custom background. jestersix molded and fired this beast with direction from myself. it's very heavy but well worth it.
i also plugged this annoying lower drain grate. just used a piece of acrylic and the appropriate type of silicone.
and here it is finally filled with water (months after i started with the background, but don't tell anyone.) the rock cave is a cerameco vidarock.
custom holders for ato pressure tube, ato refill tube and awc refill tube (on left), probes and awc drain (on right.)
got the holder installed for the apex temp probe and the awc tube. i put a piece of filter media on top to kill the gushing water effect.
i made the stand from red oak and stained it black, almost four years ago for my bc29.
added my fish tonight: two clowns, ora orchid dottyback and a cleaner shrimp. my starry blenny won't come out of a rock in my old tank, so he'll have to wait.
more fish shots. captured the blenny so he's now with his buddies. the dotty back has commandeered the skull as his home.

yeah, my cleaner shrimp is riding my blenny around the tank.
all lights are now on and the toadstools have polyp extension.
gsp (uc) take two: added 11/1/18
it is currently going through what we normally refer to as an "ugly stage" but for my theme, i like it. i may regret adding the gsp later on. we'll see, lol.

a friend of mine surprised me with some new door handles today! so appropriate! (11/19/2018)
obtained this torch from a friend of mine. started to go downhill due to an alk spike, trying to get it to color back up: added 11/17/2018.

i just acquired this from a reefing buddy and he said it just started growing from the rock. 100% aquacultured!
