So this is for an 80 gal tank with a 5' head height. I have a danner 9.5 (950gph) with a 5' head i think it drops to around 700gph. Its 3/4" coming out of the pump and i necked it up to 1"
I have a gate valve that i plan to use to adjust the flow. I also decided to use about a 12" piece of 1" silicone tubing from the pump to the gate valve.
So #1 i thought i read somewhere that you dont want the gate valve to close to the pump? I dont see how this would make a difference, but is this true?
#2 am i going to have an issue with pressure on the silicone pipe if i have to adjust the pressure with the gate valve?
Thanks for your help.
