For freshwater… Still it doesn’t really change, flow is flow.
Looking at making a 55 gallon cube tank for pencilfish and a betta. They're living happily in a 20L but it's time for a bigger tank.

They require LOW flow so for the sump return I was going to do the Sicce Multi 800.

Questions:

it has a 4.4' head which should be plenty, and 200GPHG will move enough water in a 55G and keep a low flow... BUT the return is ¾". What size hose attaches to the 800 so I can see what adapters I need.

The main reason I'm not doing a bigger pump is the need for low flow

Their data sheets say 13 millimeter outlet. A hose with a half inch inside diameter should be able to be put over it. Would use a plastic clamp though. Then a 1/2 inch to 3/4 fitting I'm sure you could find.
