I have a 60 gallon shallow reef, mostly softies. But I got a large Duncan and a couple of torches. Currently I'm running the Current USA Eflux return pump. It's been good, but I'm ready to upgrade. What do yaw suggest.
Equipment list:
Current USA 2100 GPH Return
2 Hydra 26 Hyper Drives
Nero 5 wavemaker
Reef Octopus Regal 150 INT
Reef Octopus WC 140 Waste Collector
10k Refugium light strip
Brs Dual media reactor
Ice cap battery backup
Trigger Sapphire 34
Jebo Doser .
Tunze 3155 ATO
Here are some pics of my build.
I'm not really on a budget but I don't want to over spend

Well I just retired my TurboSea 1100 after 7 years.. wasn't giving me any trouble I just figured it was going to die at some point. Very impressed with it. However- based on good feedback on this site I replaced with Pan World 150 which appears to be very similar if not identical. Big heavy metal pumps. And, fairly quiet (my sump is in basement so I don't care anyway, but it's not that loud).

And to add-- both of these pumps can handle big head pressures (28') which I need since the tank is 2 floors up..

Beautiful tank!

What is your motivation to 'upgrade'? eg. More flow, less noise, concerned of failure[/QUOTIm
Alot of the reason is because when I shut pump off to feed or W/C, when I plug back in it ramps too 100% and causes a mess. I have very fine sand, I'm really leaning towards the Reef Octopus vario s4

Very Nice
Question- That looks like a brass connection between the BRS reactors & the black tubing.
A NO NO if it is Mike.

I have been running a Reef Octopus Varios 2 on my tank. Really like it so far. Completely and I mean completely silent. Plenty of flow that can be adjusted actually as well. So far been running a year now no problems

I’m running a Neptune cor 20 on my reef and love it. It makes no noise at all, simple to setup and control and looks great.

I will say though I’m also running a jebao dcp 8000 on my fish only system and for the money you can’t go wrong. It really moves water too. I’m only running it at 45% power most the time.
