Returning to Reefkeeping.

Hello all. A basic rundown of my experience: I’ve kept reef tanks off and on for about 35 years, FOWLR and freshwater fish before that. I worked in an aquarium store when I was doing my original undergrad degree (biology with marine biology concentration). I was also a moderator on a (since defunct) reef forum (Reef Freaks) back in ‘04 - ‘08. Lots of hardware changes since I last had a tank, but as a tech junky, that’s perfect for me!

Here’s what I’m planning:
84 gallon Fiji Cube peninsula drop-off tank with a Fiji-24 PRO Advanced Sump. Reef Octopus Regal 150-INT skimmer. EcoTech Vortech MP40 wave makers. Neptune Apex Pro controller. Kessil AP9X main light with side bars to be added later.

Reef Freaks hmmm, I must have missed that one. I was NR and 3Reef and boy things have changed since.
We add phosphates and Ammonium Bicarbonate now, who knew!!!

Sounds like you have a solid plan. Be sure and create a build thread once things get underway.
