I also am just setting up the 32 pro timer. I see that there are 2 knobs, one per channel, blue and white. They click off at 0, and look like they click on at 10%, and can turn all the way to 100%. The timer is simple on/off, and has 2 ons and 2 offs per day, for each channel. There is also a moonlight channel, which controls five violet (UV? 400nm?) diodes, in a center line of the fixture. This channel is only on/off and does not have a knob and is controlled by a third channel on the timer, again with 2 ons and 2 offs per day.

In regards to initial start up and acclimation of SPS, I have read on a previous post to set whites to 20% and blues to 40% and to raise intensity up by 5% per week? What is the approximate end point target? I have read various previous posts saying 75% or even 100%. The fixture is a 12" above the water line, on a standard 40 gallon breeder, corals will be placed about 12" below the water line, so total height distance would be 24".

In regards to sun burns or coral bleaching, do both the whites and blues cause bleaching? In my mind, the green yellow and red diodes are invisible to the corals, since they don't "see" it I assume they do not affect corals and in theory I can blast 1000 W of red/green on them and the coral would think its in a cave. I assume the blues can burn corals (PAR). Can the whites also burn corals if they are too bright? This leads me to the violet/UV moonlight channel, I should probably leave that off during acclimation? or is that also invisible to corals?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry. Trying to do this without a Photobucket account now. I will figure this out.

Just read thru this thread as I dropped my Radion XR30 ( gen 3) into my tank a few hours ago- is everybody still liking their SB lights?

Edit : I tried to email this company to the website email address and it got bounced back with a permanent error. so I left a message on the phone number ( the message did not ideantify the number as SB lights- it was a generic answer message) ==Hmm??

Don't do it. I love my light, but they are absolutely unreachable. If you think it will work perfectly for 5 years with no parts.. go for it. Who knows, it may. But I can tell you for sure they're next to impossible to get a hold of. I see people who have found a way, as I will, but you basically have to go into full on stalker mode.

I would go with Facebook, they have their own company page and a SB Reef Lights Support Group page and the owner is pretty active on both. Over the last two months I've reached out and got a response with in a business day. Heck, he even piped up on a Sunday once.
