I am 14 and new to reefing. Is it possible to revive star polyp frag that are this dead? I lost mine a few months ago and had no idea where it went... I have a sand sifting goby so what I assume happened was it got knocked off my rock and my goby covered it with sand... Can I revive it or is it too far gone?

Those things will grow back even if it's been scrubbed completely off. Just keep your water parameters good and keep it face up and it should come right back

Sorry about the algae... It still has a little bit of the purple stuff so does that mean it's still alive? Or is it completely dead?

They like a bit of flow. That should make it open back up.

Hard to tell in pics but I agree that they're super hardy and given flow and light should pop right back

I've seen them bounce back as long as it's still fleshy even without any visable polyps.

I have both a dual high out out t5 one 10,000k and one actinic and a 78 led full spectrum light... Is this enough to help them back? It also has an all blue feature...
