Reviving rock what is this?? After 24 hr chlorine soak

Soo... I an starting a new tank and had some rock sitting outside for over a year in a bucket (back porch was covered but still "outside". Naturally I want to reuse this rock because it is expensive. After soaking in a chlorine/water bath with power headfor 24 hours I noticed a jelly like substance on a few pieces. I think this is just dead organics that bleached.( I was able to easily hose them off once I laid them out on the ground. Just wanted too see if anyone else has seen this. I am soaking them in a new vat of water now with prime to make sure the chlorine goes bye bye. Next step it to start curing this rock for my tank cycle.

if it feel like jelly, could it be bubble alage?

I would say small bits of moss. That could explain it

Didn't visually see bubble algae before I dipped it. That is what first came too mind.

Although, it looks like bubble algae that's for sure. I was able to get the. Rock clear for the stuff after the chlorine dip.
