Thanks again. I am really happy with that pic. It's from december. Almost time to take a new one, and some new top down shots.

Yes please do! Great photo as well.

You have an angel, marine betta, copperband, happy dendros and 41 Nitrates....what kind of magic are you working sir?

What kind of dendros are the large ones in the lower left?

Stunning ! In my opinion real term used for this tank is Mixed reef. Can we have more photos , side photos ? Good example that higher NO3 and PO4 isnt that much of bad thing after all.

That algae control methodology is reinforced here as well

http://www.advancedaquarist.com/blog/small-urchins-and-parrotfish-provide-hope-for-caribbean-reefs

Natural models are grazer controlled as well, awesome.

I was just at a conference about this. Parrotfish are responsible for only something like 18% of grazing, urchins the bulk of the rest. Before the diadema die off in 82, there was something like 4-5 urchins per square meter, now you are lucky if you find .1 urchins per meter.

Rich, Jim Welsh hasn't taken his Alk monitor away from you yet has he?
He has not. He and Apex can have it when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers.
Or replace it with a production model.

I'm so jealous! Can't wait to be able to just look at a screen and know the Alk of my reef!

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
